Grounded will enter its full release in September 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10/11, and Steam for $39.99. Both games are progressing, and we canвЂ™t wait to show them off at a later date. In addition to Grounded Version 1.0, we have our just-announced title Pentiment, and we know fans are excited for updates on Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2.

Get ready to jump into the backyard in September. ItвЂ™s been awesome to work with our amazing community throughout the last two years, and we at Obsidian canвЂ™t be prouder of what Grounded has become. Finding its way into the yard as a new boss, it may be playersвЂ™ undoing. Nah, we will spoil something! The Mantis, an insect consistently requested by our incredible community. This new section includes a ton more of the backyard to explore along with new armor recipes, new weapon recipes, and some secrets that we just canвЂ™t bring ourselves to spoil for you all. The full release, Version 1.0, will also open an entirely new part of the Grounded world - the upper yard. Find out how the teens got into the yard and the mad scientist behind it in the fully playable campaign - all of which can be experienced alone or with a group of friends. The full release will include all 12 updates already released during Game Preview/Early Access development, but now players will be able to unravel the entire mysterious story behind Grounded and their shrunken-ness. These achievements have been remarkable, and all that playtime has led to some incredible community feedback which will make GroundedвЂ™s official release this September that much better. TheyвЂ™ve crafted armor set after armor set to keep improving their survivability, customized their weapons to fit their play style, and used their base-building skills to defend against the swarms of bugs tired of the playersвЂ™ antics. Grounded players have encountered enemies such as annoying mosquitos, diving bell spiders who really do live in the water, and deadly bosses such as the glorious Broodmother. Grounded releases through the Xbox Game Preview program on July 28th.We at Obsidian have enjoyed watching over 10 million players survive in the backyard for nearly two years now. We'll have to wait and see what the spider solution looks like whenever Obsidian reveals more details on it, but until that happens, it's clear from the reactions found below that people are all for the arachnophobia mode as an accessibility feature, even if it's not something they need themselves. Given that the game's story revolves around shrunken players navigating a backyard, it wouldn't make much sense to remove bugs entirely, but spiders are apparently a common enough fear to the point that an exception was made here. It appears that the alternate game mode will only do something about the spiders in the game, so if it's other insects you aren't crazy about, you may still see those in Grounded. Obsidian's announcement came right around the same time that the game was featured in the latest episode of Inside Xbox where we learned more about Grounded including when the game will be released, so the news comes at a perfect time for anyone who was interested in the game after the showcase but didn't want to play with any spiders. Good news for you, - the team is implementing an arachnophobia mode to help with those who aren't fans of spiders and still want to enjoy the game! In a reply to the user, Obsidian said the team is implementing something called an 'arachnophobia mode' to help those who don't like spiders. The developer revealed the existence of the spider-free mode earlier in the week when a Twitter user said they probably wouldn't be able to play much of the game given the giant spiders that players will come up against.
